John P. DiMascio, Jr.

Partner


John DiMascio, Jr. is the managing partner of the firm. He graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 1997. Mr. DiMascio was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in February 1998 and has been associated with the firm since that time.  He has extensive litigation experience in the Supreme Court, Family Court and the appellate courts of the State of New York and is a masterful negotiator who strives to obtain the best possible resolution for his clients.


Mr. DiMascio is the former chair of the Matrimonial Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, and is a past editor of Recent Decisions in Matrimonial Law, published by that committee.  Mr. DiMascio is alsoa member of the New York Family Law Chapter of the American Inns of Court and the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Having represented several celebrity and high net-worth clients, Mr. DiMascio is often cited in periodicals and publications as the New York Law Journal, Newsday and the New York Post. Mr. DiMascio has also published articles on matrimonial law for the Family Law Review of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau Lawyer.

Mr. DiMascio has organized and lectured at numerous continuing legal education (CLE) seminars for the New York State Bar Association, the National Business Institute, and the Nassau County Bar Association's Matrimonial Law Committee. Mr. DiMascio was recently recognized by Super Lawyers for the New York Metro Area for 2014 and has been recognized by the Ten Leaders in Divorce Law for Long Island since 2004.

In 2006, Mr. DiMascio was honored with the Jurisperitus Award from the Court Officer’s Benevolent Association of Nassau County. In 2019, Mr. DiMascio received special recognition by the United States Congress through the David S. Taub Award issued by the Safe Center Center of Long Island for his representation of victims of domestic violence. In further recognition of his professionalism and contributions as a skilled advocate and leader in the practice of matrimonial law, in June of 2022, Mr. DiMascio was the recipient of The Richard Keidel Memorial Award issued by the Nassau County Bar Association Matrimonial Law Committee.
